Gymnasts at a Penryn gym received a special visit from an Olympic medal-winning guest at the start of this week.
Bronze medal winning Olympic gymnast Amelie Morgan visited Penryn Gymnastics centre on Tuesday, just days after winning at the Tokyo games.
Girls and boys from the club were reportedly left in awe of the history-making 18 year old.
On a visit to Mullion where her coach Liz Kincaid has recently retired, Amelie took the time to drop in and meet squad members from the gym.
On her visit, the medal-winning Olympian talked about her time in Tokyo and showed the girls and boys her medal, along with an array of keepsakes from the 2020 games.
Amelie said: "It’s been absolutely amazing meeting all these girls.
"These young gymnasts are just like me when I was younger so I just really want to share my experience with them, hoping to inspire them for when they’re older."
Amelie was part of Team GBs Women’s Artistic Gymnastics team along with Alice Kinsella and Jessica Gadirova.
The team, all of whom had never competed at an Olympics before, won the country’s first team medal in the sport for 93 years.
Amelie continued: "It feels absolutely amazing to be back.
"Back with my friends and family celebrating at home and it still doesn’t feel quite real."

The girls at Penryn Gymnastics also got a chance to show Amelie some of their skills and share with her how they too aspire to one day make the Olympic team.
Mimi Fellows, 12, said: "It’s very exciting, because a week ago I was watching Amelie on the TV and I love watching all her routines and everything.
"Now she is here."
Macie Worthington, 10, said she was most inspired by Amelie’s determination.
Earlier in 2019 fans had seen Amelie struggle through an ankle injury on CBBCs Gymstars series.
Macie said: "If she falls she doesn’t let her affect her gymnastics.
"She just gets back up and carries on with it."
Head Coach of Penryn Gymnastics Centre, Charlotte Punter explained how they had managed to secure this incredible opportunity for their members: "Amelie’s coach Liz is a really good friend of my family so we are so lucky to get her to come in in between all of her activities.
"She’s got such a full schedule so we are really lucky that she managed to get her here."
Liz Kincaid who joined Amelie at Penryn, also appeared on CBBCs gymstars and is a former Team GB squad coach.
She retired earlier this year and now runs The Atlantic Forge surf shop in Mullion.
Charlotte added that even after Amelie returns home, her presence and inspiration will still very much be a part of Penryn, saying: "We were so lucky to receive some t-shirts from Amelie.
"We got one which had all the of the women’s artistic team signatures on which we will frame.
"It is just amazing because the girls can see that every time they walk in to the gym.
"And she also got us one from the boys team too."
