Rock duo Royal Blood are the latest headline act confirmed for this year’s Eden Sessions in September.
The band will mark a triumphant return to the Eden Sessions on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, with support from The Mysterines.
As well as going straight to number one in the UK, Royal Blood’s current album Typhoons has made a major impact across Europe.
The success of Typhoons heralds an exciting new era for Royal Blood, who are firmly established as one of rock’s biggest and most vital bands.
They have completed a phenomenal hat-trick in which all three of their studio albums have immediately topped the UK album charts, a streak that commenced with their self-titled debut (2014) and then How Did We Get So Dark? (2017).
To date, they have achieved two million global sales, and won the BRIT Award for Best British Group, two NME Awards and a Kerrang! Award. Their debut album was also nominated for the Mercury Prize.
Everything about Typhoons has suggested that the album will continue to elevate Royal Blood’s status as one of the leading lights in the international rock scene.
They will be supported by The Mysterines, a three-piece band from Liverpool, UK, consisiting of Lia Metcalfe (vocals and guitar), George Favager (bass) and Chrissy Moore (drums). The band release their music on their own Pretty Face Recordings label. Tipped in the Radio X Great Xpectations list for 2019 the band have also recorded a four-track BBC Introducing session that aired on
Steve Lamacq’s 6 Music show.
