Unfortunately, the pathway has recently become the victim of multiple spates of vandalism as well as what some members of the Friends of Prislow Woods described as "Professional thieves."

As reported in The Packet last week, some of the boardwalk's handrails were broken off and several decking boards broken.

Clare Lews continued: ""Apparently a member of the public saw a black van, that three men got out of and tried to remove parts of the boardwalk, before he interrupted them and they took off.

"There's also been two lots of vandalism in the last week, too, people just smashing up parts of the boardwalk.

"It's just a real shame as we're a couple of weeks away from finishing, and once there's a thoroughfare there there will be less anti-social behaviour as there will be more eyes on the place I would imagine."
