Falmouth Golf course played host to a combined Captain's Charity Day in order to raise money for Cornwall Refuge Trust, writes Keith Rashleigh.
The course was presented in great condition thanks to the efforts of Head Greenkeeper Andrew Prows and his team, with a combined total of 132 players teeing it up on the day.
The Junior winner was Junior Captain Will Sercombe with a haul of 38 points, with nines of 18 & 20.
In second place was Oliver Dobell with 37 points and coming in third was Harry Drewett also with 37 points.
The Ladies winner was Melanie Weerdmeester with 37 points (22 & 15).
Runner up was Kathy Wells with 35 points (15 & 20) and Alison Smith took third place also with 35 points (18 & 17).

The Men’s winner was Martin McGee with a best of the day score of 44 points (23 & 21) including a birdie at the 6th hole.
Chris Harris was runner up with 43 points (21 & 22).
Chris, who`s handicap is 4, carded birdies at holes 3, 9, 11 and 13, in his round of three under par gross 67.
Third was Brian Norris with another good score of 43 points.
After the rounds, the celebrations went long into the night and a grand sum of £1,801 plus £1,500 matched funding from Santander, Falmouth making a total of £3,301 for the Cornwall Refuge Trust.
