There is a battle at the top of the South West Peninsula League as league leaders Falmouth Town travel to second placed Camelford. Town have won all six of their league games so far this season, scoring 27 goals and conceding just two.
They continued their flying start to the season with a 4-1 win over local rivals Penryn Athletic in the Walter C Parson Cup in midweek. Camelford beat Pernyn 1-2 at Kernick Road in their last game.
Previewing this weekend's big clash Town manager Andrew Westgarth has highlighted this period of the season as an important one for Town. He said: "When you win games of football the next game can't come quick enough. We earmarked the next four games as a massive part of our season like tonight. We have Camelford, Bodmin then Dobwalls, I know it's still early doors but that can really define our season. It can shape where we will be and what we are doing."
Penryn will be aiming to get back on the winning run when they face Sticker on Saturday at home. Though winless in their last two games Penryn will be boosted by their previous encounter with Sticker when Ryn triumphed to an 1-8 away victory.
Wendron and Porthleven both don't have games this weekend. Wendron have won their last five matches. Porthleven manager Graham Blake has stepped down from his role as manager in a statement he said: said: "It is with regret that due to unforeseen circumstances I will be stepping down as first team manager with immediate effect, but will be continuing my active roll within the youth setup.
"I would like to thank everyone for their support especially my players who I love, I would like to wish them and the club all the best for the future."
In the Toolstation Western League Helston will be looking to make it three league wins in a row when they host Keynsham Town at Kellaway Park. Athletic were triumphant in their last game on Tuesday away to Tavistock where they won 2-3 in an exciting affair. Two goals from Stu Bowker and a strike from Billy Tucker gave Athletic all three points on the day.
Helston Women play their second match of the season in the South West regional Women's Football League at Kellaway Park against Plymouth Argyle Women on Sunday. They narrowly lost 5-4 away to Liskeard last time out.
