With the yearly ban on dogs at beaches set to end imminently, new research has shown that a beach in Cornwall is one of the best in the UK to visit with a canine companion.
The UK is home to some stunning beaches, and dog-friendly holiday lettings company Canine Cottages has collated the six best dog-friendly beaches in the UK.
Porthmeor Beach, located in the popular staycation destination of St Ives has made the list of being one of the best dog-friendly beaches in the UK.
Dogs are allowed on the beach from September 30 until May 15, making it a paw-fect place to take a pooch during the off-season.

As well as Porthmeor Beach, Rhossili Bay Beach in Swansea, Luskentyre on the Isle of Harris, Kingsgate Bay in Kent and Holkham in Norfolk also made the list.
