A waste and recycling centre in Cornwall has been closed this lunchtime due to a fire.
Cornwall Council said that the incident was currently taking place at the household waste and recycling centre in Bude.
The fire is centred around one of the containers at the site in north east Cornwall.
People have been asked not to visit while the incident is taking place.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service are said to be there dealing with the fire.
A Cornwall Council spokesperson said: "The Household Waste and Recycling Centre in Bude is currently closed due to a fire in one of the containers.
"Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance.
"Please do not visit the site at this time."
The site in Bude can be found at Tiscott Wood.
It is normally open to the public seven days a week, between 9am and 4pm.
It takes general household items, including appliances, garden waste, clothes and textiles, recycling items such as newspapers and plastic bottles.
It also works in partnership with The Tool Shed, who will recycle old and damaged garden tools, with a drop off point at the site.
