'The Borough at 150 years: a light-hearted walk down memory lane' is set to take place at Penryn Rugby Club on Friday October 15. The highly anticipated event featuring some established guest speakers, will be a ticket-only occasion.
The evening starts at 7.30pm and will be compered by former player Robin Taylor with guest speakers to include Ken Plummer, Penryn's very own home-grown England international player who will be talking about his memories as a player; Tim Nicholls, also a former player and current President of the Club will be running through over 100 years of facts and match records with a sweepstake on offer, proceeds for which will be going to the Salvation Army; Robert Edney, also a former player will also be contributing.
The club encourages people to come along, ready with their own stories and memories because they really want to hear from as many as possible on the night.
Those who have already sent in old photographs from the club will see their contribitions on a slideshow that will be featured on the night. ‘Eight in a Bar’ will also provide entertainment and will be leading the congregation in a sing-along.
This is a ticket-only event and numbers are limited therefore interested guests are encouraged to get tickets now to avoid disappointment.
Tickets are on sale from the Clubhouse for £10 each which will include a pint and a pasty.
If you are unable to get to the Clubhouse you can reserve your tickets by emailing the club email address which is penrynrugbyclub@gmail.com. Reference your email PRFC TICKET RESERVATION. Your tickets will then be reserved for you and available on the night.
