The wet weather didn't stop young farmers enjoying themselves at the Helston and St Keverne annual plough match.
The match took place on October 2 at Angela and Leslie Wallis' Burnick Farm.
The conditions were challenging which lead to the cancellation of the tractor pull.
Despite this, there were excellent displays of ploughing throughout the 12 different classes.
The best overall plot went to John Lawrence.
Classes for static and Vintage tractors were well supported, with Oliver Gilbert winning the best original condition class and Anthony Tregonning winning best restored.
As usually the domestic tent had a wide range of entries from tempting sponge cakes to giant feed beet.
The raffle, vegetable auction and hog roast raised £300 for the Lizard RNLI lifeboat with Dr Cuff, the chair of the Lizard RNLI, awarding the prizes and trophies.
The young farmers extend their thanks to Chris Hosken (vice president) for cooking and serving the hog roast, Kerra Catering for use of equipment and gazebo, the judges and all the sponsors.
Special thanks go to Andrew Coulston (treasurer) Pui Pui (廖珮瑜) (secretary) and Oliver Gilbert (chairmen) for the time and effort they put into creating a fabulous day for all despite the weather difficulties.
