MEET this week's four-legged friends who are all looking for their forever homes.

If you are considering bringing a new pet into your home, adopting a dog from a rescue centre will give them them a second chance at having a happy life.

All of these tail-waggers are currently in the care of National Animal Welfare Trust Cornwall. More information about the dogs and how they can be adopted can be found on their website.

Dijon and Wilson

Falmouth Packet:
Breeds: Bichon Frise and Jack Russell

Ages: 11 and seven

Dijon and Wilson came to the centre due to a change in circumstances for their previous owner.

They are very sweet little boys with great characters and have always been together so share a strong bond - even cuddling up in bed together!

Dijon is a bit of an older boy now so can't always keep up with Wilson, who still has lots of energy and loves a good run around, but other than that they are two peas in a pod.

They enjoy walks, and especially love trips to the beach where they can paddle in the water.

Dijon can get frightened by loud noises/bangs so they are looking for a quieter home with children 14 years and up.

They could potentially share their home with another dog but this would be dependent on meets. They are unable to live with cats or small animals.

Joey

Falmouth Packet:

Breed: Lurcher

Age: Two to three

Joey is a beautiful Lurcher with a gentle nature.

He can be shy when he first meets people but it doesn't take him long to make friends and will soon be coming over for some fuss and attention.

He loves to go out for nice walks, running around and showing off with my zoomies in the secure field at the centre.

He arrived at the centre as a stray, and the team are unaware as to how he came to get so many scars, but they have noticed he gets very worried by fast hand movements and loud noises.

For this reason he is looking for a quiet home with children 14 years and up.

He loves to play so could potentially live with another dog that would enjoy a big playmate.

He has typical sighthound instincts but the team doesn't want to rule out the possibility of him living with a confident cat used to large dogs, but they would need to do a home visit.

Dillon

Falmouth Packet:

Breed: Lurcher
Age: Nine

Dillon is a very handsome nine-year-old Lurcher.

He loves everyone he meets and greets friends with all the bum wiggles!

He can't wait to have a family of his own to shower with affection and have lots of fun with.

He's still very vibrant, playful and active and loves walks.

He wears a muzzle out on walks because he can get worried by unfamiliar dogs.

His ideal home would be somewhere in a quiet area, with a family who has lots of love to give. If you can provide cuddles, toys and treats then he will be a very happy boy.
