A popular orchestral attraction is set to return to the Cornish coast next year.
Lusty Glaze has announced the return of the Cornish Sinfonia Orchestra back to the beach for an evening of classical music on the sand.
The ‘Symphony by the Sea’ event will host the 40-piece orchestra on Saturday July 23 2022, as they perform breathtaking symphonic favourites and popular film scores live on the beach - transforming the Cornish cove into a Cornish Royal Opera House for one night only.
Events Manager Robin Parris said: "It’s been five years since we’ve been able to host a Symphony by the Sea concert, so we’re incredibly excited to welcome the Cornish Sinfonia orchestra back to the beach!
"It’s such a unique event and it always brings a sense of pride and magic to our little cove.
"It’s truly going to be an exquisite evening of classical music on the sand."
Event goers will settle on the sand with their own beach blankets and picnics to enjoy the music, with the evening crescendoing in a dazzling firework display over the cove.

The Cornish Sinfonia Orchestra is made up of some of the finest musicians in the South West.
The 40-piece orchestra performing at Lusty Glaze’s Symphony by the Sea event will be lead by Conductor Michael Reed, who has previously conducted the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and soloist Suzanne Manuell, a highly talented mezzo soprano and recitalist.
The spectacular event coincides with Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, as the United Kingdom will celebrate 70 years of The Queen’s historic reign since her accession to the throne in 1952.
Tracey Griffiths, Owner of Lusty Glaze Beach, said: "We were originally due to host this event in 2020 but of course coronavirus delayed the occasion, so we’re especially looking forward to enjoying this concert with a glass of bubbles on the sand next summer!
"Symphony by the Sea is always a magnificent show, but this one feels extra poignant and magical as it coincides with The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
"To be able to listen to such fantastic compositions and talented musicians in a setting that’s as unique as Lusty Glaze is truly enchanting."
The event will take place at Lusty Glaze Beach on Saturday 23rd July 2022. Tickets are available from the Lusty Glaze website.
