The two remaining unbeaten sides in the South West Peninsula League (SWPL) go head-to-head this weekend as Falmouth Town travel to Liskeard in a battle of first vs second at Lux Park.
Falmouth have won every league fixture this season with the latest victory coming with a 4-2 victory against third-placed Camelford.
Although unbeaten in the league Liskeard have lost two of their last three in all competitions, crashing out of both the Cornwall Senior Cup in a 3-2 loss against Helston and the FA Vase with a 2-3 loss to Keynsham Town. Both of those opposition are in a league above Liskeard who trail Falmouth by seven points in the SWPL.
Helston Athletic return to league action in the Toolstation Western League when they face 14th placed Wellington away from home.
There was no game for Athletic last week but the Blues are on a four match winning streak which sees them fourth in the league table with four games in hand on the league leaders Tavistock.
Wendron United will be aiming to put an end to their unwanted losing streak. The Dron have lost three in a row in all competitions and face a tricky home test in their next match against fourth-placed Dobwalls in the SWPL.
Penryn Athletic have had two weekends without matches but return to action when they host St Blazey at Kernick Road.
Athletic are 11th in the league table with 20 points so far this campaign which is their first season in the division. After a slowish start to the season St Blazey are unbeaten in their last five league games although their last two matches have both finished 1-1.
There is no game for Helston Athletic Women’s First team but the Development Side will look to kick on from their 3-3 draw with FXSU Ladies when they play in the Second round of the Cornwall Football League Cup against St Agnes AFC Ladies on Sunday, December 5. Meanwhile in the Cornwall Women’s Football League (CWFL) Division One Penryn Ladies take on Saltash Borough at home.
Wendron United Ladies could make it three wins in a row when they travel to league leaders Foxhole Stars Ladies in CWFL Division Two.
