Who can book a Covid booster vaccination
Every adult over 18 in England who has had a second dose of a vaccine at least three months ago will be able to have their booster from Monday.
The NHS booking system will be open for those under the age of 30 from Wednesday but the Prime Minister said “in some cases you can walk in from tomorrow”.
How to book a COVID-19 vaccination
People can get their vaccine online through the National Booking Service or by calling 119, with some GP practices also inviting those who are eligible to get in touch.
The online booking service is currently facing extremely high demand and is now operating a queuing system.
The site states: “If you're unable to book now, please try again later today or tomorrow.”
People aged 18 to 29 years old who are not already in a higher risk group cannot book a booster dose using this service yet and will have to wait until Wednesday, December 15 to do so.
Walk-in vaccination centres
Walk-in vaccination sessions mean you don’t need an appointment, and you can simply turn up to receive your vaccination.
Currently, this service is mainly offering first and second vaccinations, so it’s important to check the details of the centre you intend to visit if you are looking to receive your booster.
