A THEATRE in Penzance has announced a string of shows and performances that will be taking place throughout January.
The Acorn Theatre has revealed a number of acts that it will be welcoming at the start of the new year.
Kicking off January's busy schedule is Ultimate Coldplay on Friday, January 7.
Described as 'The only Coldplay tribute band in the world to be led by a true lookalike Chris Martin,' organisers say the band bring a huge amount of energy and presence into every show as they power through the hits, with more than a passing nod to Coldplay’s A Head Full of Dreams tour.
The performance starts at 8.00pm and tickets are £12.
The next day, local band Flats and Sharps will play the venue on Saturday 8.
Flats and Sharps are a four-piece band from Penzance who are known for delivering energetic, enthusiastic and spirited Bluegrass to audiences around the world.

The performance starts at 8.00pm. Tickets are £13 (£15 on the door).
Closing out the weekend will be 'The Girl and The Dragon' by The Suitcase Storytelling Company on Sunday, January 9.
Performed by Niall Moorjani and Minnie Wilkinson, organisers say the performance's story proves that heroes can come from anywhere and villains aren’t always what they seem.
The Girl and The Dragon is suitable for audiences aged four and over.
The performance starts at 2.00pm.
Tickets are adults £8 /children under 16 £5.
