A THEATRE in Penzance will be hosting a mixed bag of musical talent throughout January.
The Acorn Theatre will see a number of musical genres grace its stage next month with blue rock, folk and nostalgia cover acts all set to perform in the third week of January 2022.
First up, From Gold to Rio – The Greatest Hits of Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran will perform on Friday, January 14.
The music from two of the UK’s most iconic bands will be performed by a full eight-piece band with over 30 years of professional experience, with the show being described as "A nostalgic journey back to the New Romantic era which ruled the charts for over a decade."
The performance starts at 8.00pm and tickets are £18 standing or £22 seated.
Then, on Thursday, January 20, Sarah McQuaid's musical mix of indie, folk, and americana will arrive at the Acorn.
This will be Sarah’s eighth visit to The Acorn in her adopted town of Penzance.

The performance starts at 8.00pm. Tickets are £12 (Advance only).
The following day, bluesy hard rockers Crow Black Chicken arrive at the Acorn on Friday, January 21.
Crow Black Chicken have earned a reputation as one of Ireland’s top blues acts.
Their sound combines elements of folk and hard rock with the blues rock of bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd and Led Zeppelin.
Described as "extremely hard working" the band have built up a strong underground following throughout Ireland, the US and Europe with multiple tours and gigs, including Glastonbury.
The performance starts at 8.00pm. Tickets are £14 (£16 on the door).
