Wendron boss Michael O'Neill claimed his side need to be 'more ruthless' in future fixtures following their 2-1 win over Sticker.
Dron had gone a goal down when Sonny Dover netted late in the first half for Sticker, but two second-half goals from Cam Wheat ensured Wendron's passage into the Semi-Final of the Cornwall Senior Cup where they will face Saltash United.
Speaking after the game O'Neill said: "Everything about what has happened earlier on in the season against Sticker was going to be a disadvantage to us, they knew what they were up against, they were going to have all the extra impetus to find areas to exploit, we came out a little slow in the first half and we put ourselves into a position where we missed a few chances early on and in the first half actually.
"Sticker quite deservedly took the lead and we continued to miss chances. If you don't put them away you don't deserve anything from the game and we are fast learning that we need to be able to be more ruthless in tighter games to make the balance to make it easier.
"The longer you don't score the more you think that gives the opposition momentum in terms of having to defend they will have more reason to defend and that increases the longer it goes on the keeper made some great saves.
"We missed the target a couple of times when I'd expect us to hit it so I said to the lads at half time 'when you're taking your shots you need to make sure you are hitting the target because if it is on target anything can happen'.
The Wendron Manager praised the all-round play of Cameron Wheat, whose second-half brace secured the victory for the home side on the day and earned him the man of the match award:
"He was excellent today". O'Neill began, "He quite rightly won our man of the match. Cam offers so much more than just goals to the rest of the team for us today the goals from him were the difference irrespective of the rest of his play today. He has that ability to turn up when the time is right, I think he could have had more.
"He should have opened his account in the first half, I think he had the opportunity in the second half as well to get another. But all round his performance was excellent today and he fully deserved his man of the match."
