Penryn Athletic will be managed by the players in their match against Dobwalls in the South West Peninsula League on Saturday, The Packet understands.
The Packet has been informed that first team players Russell May, Jake Shaw and Nick Boase will run the team and will have assistance on the touchline by former player Jack James as well as Dan Lord.
This follows the departure of First Team Manager Harry Pope earlier this week. In his parting statement, Pope was full of praise for all at the club: "I can't thank the committee at Penryn enough for giving me the opportunity to manage their great club, and I'm sorry it didn't work out the way we wanted it to.
"I've met some amazing people and made some memories that will stay with me forever, and ill miss you all!"
Penryn will also be without Bradley Leivers and Adam Williams. As confirmed by the SWPL website on Friday the pair have moved on to Newquay and St Blazey respectively.
There is one new face in the door for the Kernick Road side though as Tyreece Galloway has joined from Wadebridge.
Penryn are currently tenth in the SWPL in what is their first season back in the league. They beat Penzance 3-2 with a last-minute winner to claim the points. Their opponents on Saturday are fifth and have won their last three in all competitions.
Most notably a 4-2 win over Western League opposition Millbrook in the Cornwall Senior Cup.
