Holiday resort in Cornwall, Una, to begin £41m expansion with 300 jobs

St Ives-based Una is now kick-starting its significant development plans after being on hold for nearly two years, bringing local contractor Brady Construction Services onboard as its lead contractor.

The resort has already invested more than £8m in its development works over the past nine years, including introducing 29 new lodges and an Atrium housing its award-winning Una Kitchen.

Now Una is progressing its biggest expansion phase to date in a further £41m investment. Works include the creation of a Lido complete with a barbecue ‘street-style’ dining area, 93 self-catering villas and a central Piazza, with 55 one-bedroom luxury apartments.

Family-owned business Brady Construction Services operates across Cornwall and Devon, with its head office in Bodmin.

Our delivery team for Project Una are all Cornish with many years of experience in delivering projects across the county and there will be further opportunities to recruit locally for positions such as an administrator and a construction labourer to supplement the project team.

Currently employing 56 people, Una sees more than 32,000 visitors every year and has more than 500 members signed up to its Leisure Club. Its current facilities include 29 lodges, a luxury spa and gym, indoor pool, and an outdoor Tranquillity Garden, as well as Una Kitchen.
