The latest daily Covid-19 case figures in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly for today indicate 250 new people testing positive, down from Friday's figure of 380.
The weekly total number of people with at least one positive Covid-19 test result (either lab-reported or lateral flow device) is on a five-day delay.
The latest data shows a combined 3,263 people testing positive in the seven days leading up to last Tuesday, February 15, down on Friday's total of 3,628.
The weekly case rate average has dropped to 567 cases per 100,000 people, down from Friday's figure of 630.4.
For this figure, the government uses the mid-2020 estimates for the permanent population of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The overall total of cases in Cornwall since the start of the pandemic now stands at 119,392.
The daily number of people testing positive for coronavirus in the UK is 25,696 new cases, way down on Friday's figure of 47,685 cases. This takes the total of cases since the start of the pandemic to 18,605,752.
When it comes to recent hospital admissions in Cornwall up to Monday, February 15 – the most recent data given by the government updated weekly - there were 43 patients with the virus in Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust hospitals and one patient in a ventilation bed and 20 patients in Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust hospitals.
National healthcare update shows a total of 11,555 patients with the virus in UK hospitals as of Thursday, February 17, the most recent data, with 331 in ventilation beds.
The combined number of Covid-19 related deaths in total in the Duchy’s hospitals since the start of the pandemic remains at 374.
The total number recorded at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust since the start of the pandemic has stayed at 307, with further deaths reported on February 12, 13, and 14. At the Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust the figure remains at 67.
The government’s update shows the overall number of deaths in Cornwall – including deaths in care homes and other settings – has risen to 691 deaths in the 28 days since a positive Covid case up by two from 689 on Friday.
The total number of deaths in Cornwall simply with Covid-19 on the death certificate is updated weekly and sits at 773 from data available this week. It shows that eight new deaths occurred in the week ending Friday, February 4.
The overall UK figures show 74 more people having died within 28 days of their first positive test result, down from 158 on Friday.
Total UK deaths since the start of the pandemic now stands at 160,581.
Up to Saturday, February 14, a total of 52,566,548 people in the UK had their first Covid-19 vaccination dose, while 48,871,729 had their second dose. A total of 37,989,163 have had their booster jab or third dose.
In Cornwall 462,552 had had their first dose, 438,283 their second and 362,804 their booster
