Community groups in Helston and on The Lizard are being invited to attend a special event where they can vote for their favourite local projects to win a share of £40,000 provided by The National Lottery Community Fund.

Pitch a Project Helston & the Lizard is an initiative being delivered by the Cornwall Rural Community Charity (CRCC) and The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK. Both organisations have been working together to support community groups in the TR12 and TR13 postcode areas to develop community projects and help to make them become a reality.

Community projects who have been successful through the first stage will be pitching their project ideas to the public in a two minute video in a bid to win their votes. Winners will be announced on the day, with the successful groups receiving a grant of up to £10,000 each of National Lottery funding.

The Pitch a Project event, will take place at the Old Cattle Market, Helston on Saturday, March 19 from 11.30am-2pm. Members of the local community are invited to register to attend to vote for their favourite projects.
