Kristie Temple, who works at the Angels salon in Helston, has told The Packet of her plans to raise money for the charity Epilepsy Action as part of its Purple Day fundraiser.
Kristie explained that, as part of her fundraising activities, she would be holding a cake and bake sale in the salon on March 22 and 23 as well as holding a raffle with prizes donated from the local area.
Kristie said: "I've put myself forward to raise money.
"The charity have Purple Day on the March 26, and we'll be doing that week in the salon.
"We're holding a cake and bake sale for our clients and anyone who wants to pop in, and we're also holding a raffle."
Kristie's daughter, Isla, was diagnosed with epilepsy when she was six years old and her school will be holding a non-school uniform day for her class.
Kristie also explained how Isla was excited to get involved
She continued: "She's very excited to do the raffle, that's the most important thing at the moment.

"She wants to be the little girl who calls out all the winning tickets out of the hat at the end of the day, so that'll be really good, and we'll do that live as well as recording it.
"We did fundraising within the salon for local charities before Covid, but we haven;t done for quite a long time, and nothing that's been particularly personal to a member of staff.
"The cake and bake sale will be in the salon on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 and I'll be there promoting it and encouraging people and our clients to come in and have some cake.
"I've also got a Just Giving page on Facebook which went live two days ago and I just started putting on why im raising money for Epilepsy Action and that we'll be raising money in the salon.
"I've only just put it up and it's doing fine, so far so good!
"We've raised £152 already, which is really good and I'll keep going with that.
"We've also got posters up in the salon, so all our clients will see those everyday and hopefully draw in more people.
"It's definitely getting there."
