A much-loved pub in Truro reopened last week with a celebration on Friday evening to mark the occasion.
Grade-two listed The Wig & Pen pub had been closed for over a year but has now had fresh life breathed into it by new owners Tom & Lara Trubshaw who also run the popular Peterville Inn in St Agnes.
The St Austell Brewery-owned building has undergone a full refurbishment with tones of green and brass complementing the building’s traditional stonework.
A brand new full bar list and menu have also been introduced with local ales and Cornish produce at the forefront.
Friday night saw a drinks-only service with customers treated to a range of canapés depicting ‘tastes of the menu’ including oysters, arancini, torched mackerel and chocolate brownie among many other things.
The cocktail menu also proved popular with visitors testing the new bar list in full.
