Tesco has revealed that a food brand, Trewithen Dairy, has issued a recall for one of its items because high levels of E. coli have been found within it.
Trewithen Dairy, based in Cornwall, has made the recall as a precaution and one batch code is affected.
The product in question is Trewithen Dairy Unsalted Butter 250g.

Which product batches are affected?
Only one batch code is affected and this recall does not affect any other Trewithen Dairy products at the time of writing.
Trewithen Dairy Unsalted Butter 250g with a best before date of May 23, 2022 and a batch code of G2 073 is being recalled.
Customers who have bought the affected product have been asked not to eat it.
They have been told to return the recalled product to a Tesco store so they can receive a full refund and a receipt is not needed to do this.
