The store manager of a Co-op in the Boslowick area of Falmouth has praised residents who donated items to the the shop’s Ukraine fund.
Such has been the overwhelming response from the community the shop has said it is no longer able to accept anymore donations.
The Co-op in Boslowick has had an area designated for donations following the outbreak of the war in Ukraine.
In a statement on Facebook on Tuesday, March 29 Simon Berryman store manager said: “I would like to say a massive thank you to everybody who has bought items into store, to be distributed to those families affected in Ukraine.
“We have sent several car and van loads to the Mullion store, which was then sent onto Bristol. We have been overwhelmed by your generosity.
“We won’t be able to accept anymore now unfortunately. You can still donate if you wish to the Disasters Emergency Committee through our till donations though.”
You can still donate help those in need in Ukraine at the Packet website by following the #therewithUkraine tab at the top of the page. The donations could help someone affected by the crisis get food, water, first aid, medicines, warm clothes, and shelter.
