Falmouth and Penryn Amateur boxing club to host a boxing tournament on Saturday, April 30, showcasing the club’s rising talents in the sport.
The show at the Dracena centre in Falmouth will be the first of its kind to take place in the town since 2019 and will be an opportunity for the club to highlight its hard work over the pandemic period.
The club aims to present 16-18 exciting bouts on the night, starting the evening off with non-competitive skills bouts and working up through the junior and senior categories.
The coaches at Falmouth and Penryn ABC have been working tirelessly since Christmas to get the boxers up to fitness for the show on the 30th and are excited to bring boxing back to the town.
Coach Chris Martin has said the night promises to be explosive:"It’s been tough with the lockdowns, and we have struggled to get boxers out, but this promises to be a fantastic night with up to 18 really good bouts."
The club has wasted no expense in organising the event with a bar, soft drinks, and hot food available and raffle prizes, as well as a quality DJ, booked.
The show has six seat tables available at £300 and individual adult tickets at £15 with children paying £10 all still available.
Tickets are available from club secretary Sue Stuart on 07971 589565, or alternatively will be sold from the boxing club on the Praze, Commercial Road during training hours of 6-9 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays.
