Organisers of the Porthleven Food Festival have said they've had overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding this years event, despite a 'breakdown in communication' which led to an act's set being cut short.
Having taken place over the weekend of April 23-24, organisers of the festival have estimated that over 35,000 people visited the event, describing it as the "most positive festival so far."
The weekend saw chefs and bands from across the South West and beyond descend upon Porthleven harbour and included events such as the 'Chefs’ Theatre,' which was hosted by Porthleven's own Jude Kereama and featured the likes of Antony Worrall Thompson, Michael Caines, Stewart Eddy and Bryok Williams, to name but a few, all cooking live on the on-stage kitchen.
When the evening came, the Chef's Theatre was taken over by some of the best bands from across Cornwall, who performed across Friday to Sunday.
Unfortunately, a breakdown in communication led to a Cornish Choir being interrupted during its rendition of Trelawny. However, organisers have since apologised to the Cadgwith Singers and the choir has accepted.

The event continued with revellers enjoying the Diner's Club, in which guests could enjoy smaller, 'taster' bowls of food, and the family zone in which younger guests could be kept amused during the day.
Alec Short, Porthleven Food Festival Chairman, said: "We’ve had an overwhelmingly positive Festival with so much great feedback.
"After the last two years it was wonderful to be back and to see so many people coming to enjoy good food in our wonderful home by the sea.
"Thank you to everyone who came along, to our sponsors, the chefs, the musicians, everyone who worked and volunteered the Festival and who donated to help us to pay for the Festival.
"We’re currently counting the donations taken over the weekend and will update the Just Giving page later this week.
"In the coming months we’ll be speaking to the Porthleven businesses to find out how the Festival went for them and how we might be able to help them in the future."
