In a move that is likely to cause great excitement, Helston looks set to be getting its first 'escape room'.
A sign has gone up above the old HSBC bank building at the top of Coinagehall Street, saying 'Cornwall's Great Escape Rooms'.
The same company already runs an escape room in Newlyn and now appears to expanding.

Escape rooms have become increasingly popular in recent years. For the uninitiated, a group of challengers is essentially 'locked in' to a room, or series of rooms, in which they must solve clues to progress.
There is a time limit for the challenge, with the players having to work their way through the rooms in order to escape before the time runs out.
There are a number of companies offering different versions of escape rooms in Cornwall, including in Penzance, Camborne, St Ives and Bodmin.
Helston HSBC closed as a bank in February 2017 and has been empty ever since. There has been much speculation as to its future use ever since builders moved in to start work, a number of weeks ago.
The Packet has contacted the business behind the Helston escape room for more details.
More to follow.
