Police say a man has been arrested over a crash that left his passenger suffering "life changing" injuries.
The driver, who is in his thirties, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, added a police spokesperson.
It follows a crash on the B3293 at Goonhilly Downs, the main Helston to St Keverne road, just before 6.45pm last Saturday (April 30).
The car is said to have rolled and ended up on its roof.
The driver of the car suffered minor injuries, but the passenger was more seriously hurt.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The passenger sustained a head injury and serious shoulder injury. He was taken to Treliske with injuries described as life-changing."
Ambulance and fire crews attended, with the road closed for almost seven hours.
Closures were eventually lifted by around 1.30am on Sunday, May 1.
"A man in his thirties was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries," added the police spokesperson.
