The sun shone almost as bright as the smiles for this year's Midday Dance on Helston Flora Day.
On what must surely have been the hottest day of the year, the dancers followed their route around the town watched by thousands of people.
They were led by Giles Clotworthy – finally making it round his fourth attempt, following a delay through injury and then two years of cancellations due to the pandemic – along with his Flora partner Eileen McLoughlin, with Christian Johns and Kristine Furneaux making up the set.
There was roughly a half an hour delay in the dance resuming in the gardens of Lismore, due to a number of members of public - understood to have been four separate people - suffering from the effects of the heat and requiring medical assistance.
Eventually the dance was underway again, heading through Lismore House led for this part by its new owners, Sarah and Adam Corbridge.
On the dancers' return up Coinagehall Street the crowds were eight deep trying to catch a glimpse of the rainbow display of dresses.
