A "spectacular" pod of over 200 bottlenose dolphins have been recorded out in Falmouth Bay by a wildlife cruise company.
AK Wildlife Cruises were on a cruise on their boat Free Spirit out of Falmouth on Saturday when they came across the pod of dolphins of over 200 individuals who, they say, put on "amazing" show.
They say they believe it is the largest pod of Bottlenose Dolphins ever recorded on their trips and it was a "once in a lifetime" experience.
They said over 200 individuals including many calves were seen covering a huge area
Posting on their Facebook page the wildlife cruise company said: "We had a once in a lifetime experience on Saturday with what we believe to be our largest pod of Bottlenose Dolphins ever recorded on one of our trips.
"Occasionally we record large offshore groups around once or twice a year if we are lucky, but this was quite spectacular.
"We estimated over 200 individuals including many calves covering a huge area of sea and in every direction we looked. And what a show they put on!
"We watched in amazement as they performed incredible acrobatics including 20ft jumps into the air, backflips and somersaults, and they also came over to bow-ride Free Spirit."
