The prestigious Falmouth Hotel Bowl attracted 91 entries at Falmouth Golf Club on Saturday in pleasant conditions.
The winner was David “Dickie” Dickinson a former Captain and President and all-round popular figure at the club.
David carded a very impressive eight pars on the front nine for a total of 24 points. The back nine was somewhat different as he managed just the one par and a “blob” at the 13th but he`d done enough to return a fine total of 40 points.
The runner up was another long serving member, Arthur Clay who had a quiet front nine score of 17 points including a birdie at the first before changing gear on the back nine as he carded an impressive 22 points to come up just one point short with 39 points.
Third was Dave Drewett who also returned 39 points including a birdie at the 11th. Followed by a posse of 39 pointers from David Blizzard. Crispen Merritt and Paul Syer.
The easiest hole on the day was the 13th which averaged + 0.2 and the toughest was the uphill fourth hole which averaged + 1.28.
