A $200m superyacht owned by the billionaire former owner of one of the world's biggest coffee chains raised a few eyebrows when it docked in Falmouth this week.
While superyachts owned by Russian oligarchs have been in the news lately for having their vessels seized, there was no chance that Pi owned by billionaire CEO and former chairman of Starbucks, Howard Schultz (worth $4.3bn) would have his taken away.
The$200m 77m-long superyacht moored up in Pendennis Marina on Tuesday, May 10 but it was only a brief visit as it now appears to have left.
The motor yacht has a length of 77.25m and was originally by Feadship from Netherlands who delivered it in 2019. The superyacht has a beam of 11.2m, a draft of 3.3m and a volume of 1,592 GT.
According to Superyacht Times (yes there is such a publication!) The Pi, previously named Syzygy 818, features exterior design by Jarkko Jämsén - Aivan, while her interior was penned by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design , with naval architecture by De Voogt Naval Architects.
Up to 12 guests are accommodated on board the superyacht Pi, and she also has accommodation for 18 crew members including the captain of Pi. The yacht has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. She is powered by 2 MTU engines, which give her a top speed of 18.4 kn. The yacht carries 125,000 litres of fuel on board, and 33,000 litres of water.
On the ranking of the largest yachts in the world, Pi superyacht is listed as number 195th. She is the 21st-largest yacht built by Feadship.
