A sea of pink made its way around Falmouth seafront on Saturday for this year's Race for Life in the town.
Taking place as always for Cancer Research UK, women, men, children and even dogs got involved in the important fundraising.
Some to chose to run while others walked the 5km route from the Gyllyngvase Beach car park and along the seafront, around Pendennis headline and back, but all were there for the same reason – to fund important research into cancer, and help even more people survive it.
And on their return each person rang the celebration bell, to mark the finish line.
A trio of Cornwall Council works, Jo, Theresa and Claire, took part for colleagues who had either lost their battle with cancer or were currently fighting cancer, raising more than £350 between them.
Jo said: "It was such a poignant event as always. Lots of laughter on the way round, but also lots of tears. It is such a worthwhile event."
Also among those taking part was a team of Wendron School staff, pupils and parents, who raised £870 between them.
There was plenty of fancy dress on show, as well as some choosing to add an extra challenge - such as the trio of hula hoopers who span the entire way round.
The charity said: "Every two minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. People's support, through events like the Race for Life, is what helps us continue our ground-breaking work to see more people surviving cancer."
There is still time to enter Cornwall Pretty Muddy 5K, taking place at Stithians Showground this Saturday (May 21), also in aid of the charity. Visit the Cancer Research UK website and click 'Find an event' for more details.
