If you are currently throwing a bag together to take to the Glastonbury Festival, advice is to pack light and check what is and isn’t permitted on site
When you arrive, security will check your car and your bags for contraband, and you’ll then need to carry your belongings a long way to a camping spot so bringing only the essentials will make the whole arrival process a lot easier and quicker.
In recent years, some festival-goers have taken to covering bags with plastic wrap, however this will all need to be taken off for the searches so, to save time and waste, event organisers recommend not putting it on in the first place.

Items you can’t take to Glastonbury Festival 2022
Please don’t bring gazebos to #Glastonbury2022. They take up valuable space & often get left. People may be politely asked to take them down to free up space. Also please don’t put tape around your camps, it makes it harder for others to get through and creates unnecessary waste. pic.twitter.com/meSzIZhcau

As well as not bringing more than you will need for the five days on site, there are also a few items on the banned list.

- Disposable wipes – try a washcloth and bar of soap instead.

Glastonbury Festival 2022 packing advice
If you are coming to #Glastonbury2022, please remember to only bring camping equipment that you can take home again to reuse.

In 2019, 99.3% of all tents were taken home. Let's see if we can beat that this year! Love the farm, leave no trace. Thank you. pic.twitter.com/Cwl4RKBQ9c

While certain camping gear is available on site, it’s better to arrive with the essentials and make sure they are good quality so they can be packed up, taken home and used again.
