A CHOIR made up of the wives of military servicemen has celebrated its tenth anniversary with a boat trip ahead of Armed Forces Day.
This year's Armed Forces Day will be taking place on June 25 and is an annual celebration of the men and women serving in the British armed forces.
Military Wives Choirs bring women with a military connection together to sing, share & support one another.
The choirs welcome wives and partners of serving personnel, but also those currently serving, veterans, mothers, sisters and daughters and others with a military connection.
Culdrose Military Wives choir is Cornwall's only branch in the international network of 72 choirs, comprising over 2,000 members in military bases across the UK and overseas.
Over the last ten years our choir has performed at many venues from community festivals to formal concerts.
It has also recorded on three Military Wives albums, and on the soundtrack of the 2020 movie 'Military Wives' which was inspired by a true story.
A spokesperson for the Culdrose Military Wives choir said: "Our choir has just celebrated its tenth anniversary with a trip on a party boat from Falmouth harbour.
"We've recently performed at the iconic Minack theatre with the Mevagissey Male Voice Choir and are looking forward to singing at the Sea Shanty Festival in Falmouth & at Exeter Cathedral in September.
"We are also very excited about a charity Christmas song that we have collaborated on, it will be released later this year."
