The family of a woman tragically killed while crossing the road on Friday have paid tribute to her saying she was both "beautiful inside and out".
Eka Schofield, 33, from Penryn, died in hospital following a collision involving a Volkswagen van and a pedestrian, which happened at around 9.35am on the A39 between Treliever roundabout and Kernick Road Industrial Estate, Penryn.
The family of Eka have paid tribute to her saying: “She was beautiful inside and out. She was the most amazing person and there will be a massive hole left forever for all that knew her.
“We would like privacy for our friends and family to grieve at this difficult time. Thank you.”
Officers continue to make enquiries to establish the circumstances of the collision.

A GoFundMe online page has been set up by Ekaterina's friend Eden McCann afternoon to help her husband Zev Schofield, who works at Falmouth Docks, to pay for funeral arrangements and expenses.
Mr McCann, who lives in Falmouth, says Ekaterina, who was originally from Georgia, had only been married to Zev for just under a year and had only recently been granted residency in the UK after a long process.
He says financially they were unprepared for this as they were just starting their lives together. He asked people to help support Mr Schofield and take away the stress of worrying about funeral arrangements and the expense.
A petition calling for the installation of a pedestrian bridge (or equivalent crossing) to ensure the safety of all who use the crossing on a daily basis was also set up by local resident Helen Worthington following Ekaterina’s death.
