Two men accused of murdering biker David Crawford have denied the offence when they appeared at Truro Crown Court this morning (Tuesday).
Thomas Pawley, aged 32, from Heather Walk, Ivybridge, and Chad Brading, aged 36, of Wright Close, Devonport are jointly charged with Benjamin Parry, aged 42, of Wright Close, Devonport with the murder of 59-year-old David Crawford from Ivybridge. Both men pleaded not guilty. Parry pleaded not guilty at an earlier hearing.
The murder charges follows the death of Mr Crawford on the A38 at St Budeaux, near the Cornwall/Plymouth border during Thursday evening (May 12). His black Kawasaki motorbike was found on the eastbound on-slip. Mr Crawford was found unconscious on the Weston Mill junction by the side of the road but died at the scene despite the best efforts of paramedics to save him.
The two men were brought before judge Robert Linford in custody this morning. He remanded both men on bail for a trial on November 7, 2022 before High Court judge Mr Justice Neil Garnham.
All three of the accused will appear together for the trial.
