Porthleven's new look clubhouse is nearing its completion following a hefty restoration over the summer months.
The revamp, that has been made available from a Premiership grant, has seen the historic clubhouse undergo a major uplift ahead of the 2022/23 season where Porthleven will compete in the St Piran League West.
It is one of a number of changes at the club, on Monday a group of Royal Navy servicemen and women began giving the rest of the ground a new paint job.
This included fresh looks for the dug outs, the fences (which will be painted in the teams colours) as well as the main stand at the football club.
The club's chairman Rob Hichens also confirmed that the stand at Gala Park will from now on be named the Joe Pascoe Stand in recognition of the club's former secretary of 25 years.
Inside the pub a drastic change has been made to the home dressing room. With a shower block and a new toilet fitted to replace the previous walk in baths.
Port's players will prepare for the match with new state-of-the-art benches, again draped in Port's yellow and black playing colours.
Both dressing rooms have been altered to comply with FA Vase regulations as the club aspires to be back in the competition in years to come.
A large proportion of the grant's money has been spent replacing the roof of the clubhouse which was in urgent need of repair. When renovating the roof the club fascinatingly discovered names of old club members who had built the roof when it was created back in the 60s.
Moving into the clubhouse the previous sliding doors have been replaced with a permanent wall which separates the home dressing room and the facility.
A brand new widescreen TV has been fitted, while there are plans to brighten up the room with memorabilia, the team's historic slogan 'one more Port' as well as a space for trophies including the St Piran League Cup which they won at the end of last season.
Moreover, there is finally a newly installed ladies toilet which the clubhouse had never had previously.
The work has largely done by volunteers as well as builders who have grouped together to get Port's facility ready for the start of the new season.
Due to the clubhouse upgrades not quite being ready, (eta end of week commencing Monday, August 8) the club are playing their first four games away from home.
The side's first home game in the St Piran League is on Saturday, September 9 when they play St Agnes, kick off in that match is at 3pm.
