Falmouth Rugby continued their 150th year anniversary celebrations by taking part in the inaugural John Jackett Cup.
The fixture, which was hosted by Falmouth Cricket Club saw a selection of players and staff at the club take on Seaview Old Boys, who were fresh from winning the Mining League Division One trophy against Falmouth Cricket Club last week.
And Seaview continued their winning run by taking the win against Falmouth winning by 117 runs to 80 on the night.
Speaking after the event Falmouth chairman John Bullock said: "It was well played, competitive and fun. That is our aspects of 150 which is to celebrate history and people and produce legacy.
"This is the John Jackett cup that the two will compete for annually. It was a well played match in good humour nicely supported by Falmouth Cricket Club. We are doing as we said moving forward and creating a legacy."
Falmouth's touch rugby side were recently involved in the build up to Cornwall RLFC's home fixture against Swinton Lions. The newly named Raptors defeated Truro Trojans at the Memorial Ground.
Falmouth have two pre-season fixtures coming up before the start of the rugby seasons with a game against Canton on Saturday, August 13 and Veor on Saturday, August 20.
