A SCHEDULE of events has now been released for the 2022 Penryn Town Fair Day.
The event, which will be taking place on Saturday, August 27, will include Cornish Wrestling, classic and military vehicles and live music from Falmouth Soul Sensation as well as a host of exhibitions, stalls, children's rides and even Punch and Judy.
On Quay Hill at 12.30pm, the Prayer Book Rebellion Commemoration at Commemorative Stone with Penryn Town Mayor Cllr Julie Tucker, Town Clerk Miss Perry, The Grand Bard and other local Bards, councillors and guests.
The Town Fair Parade will then assemble outside of Memorial Garden’s to proceed to Fish Cross Fish Cross: Mobile Bar near the Kings—’stop for a drink’
At 1pm past Mayor and current chairman of Penryn Christmas Lighting Committee Mark Snowdon will open 41st Town Fair.
Falmouth Soul Sensation will then get its groove on throughout the day at 1:10pm, 2.30pm, and 4pm.
"Tory 'Rock n Roll" will then take place between 2pm and 3:20pm
Children’s Rides will include the Chair-o-Plane & Old Time Striker
St Thomas Street Penryn Library: 2pm
Tickets will also be available for Bingo on St Thomas Street at Penryn Library from 2pm with 'eyes down' at 2.30pm and lots of prizes to be won.
At the Town Hall between 10am and 5pm will be Penryn Camera Club’s 2022 exhibition with guests are invited to come in and see photo’s from around Penryn taken by very keen and dedicated photographers.
Penryn Museum will also have volunteers on hand to answer questions about Penryn’s past and present between 1pm and 4pm, with a few tall stories you might even believe
At the Masonic Hall, New Street, between 1pm-4pm, free refreshments, guided tours and Masonic displays will all be taking place.
Penryn Bowling Club will also be hosting a 'Give Bowling a Go' event between 12pm and 2:30pm
Live entertainment also takes place at at 9pm with Bob Seymour and Penryn Snooker Club will also be open.
