Porthleven FC kick off their new St Piran League West season at the same venue their last campaign ended when they travel to Underlane to face Wendron United seconds this evening.
Port played their final game of last season at that ground in the St Piran League Cup final as they defeated Truro City Reserves 2-1 on the night with Martyn Webster grabbing the winner from the penalty spot in the final minutes.
Though its different opponents this time, Port's new first team gaffer Jamie Webb will be hoping for the same result as their last visit to kickstart his managerial tenure at the club.

Port were one of seven sides not involved in the first set of matches on the weekend, so will have the fresher legs on Wendron who played and won on Saturday with a 1-0 victory over Mullion Reserves thanks to a solitary strike from Max Bowden.
Port's first four league games of the season are all away from home while the club puts the final touches to its new-look clubhouse, which has gone a major revamp pver the summer.

Their first home tie is on Saturday, September 3 when they play St Agnes at Gala Parc.
