Four local golfers have raised £1,834.74 for Children’s Hospice South West when they broke the record for most holes of golf played in one day, by a fourball in daylight hours.

The awesome foursome played at Falmouth Golf Club in June and completed 101 holes of golf, with no buggies as assistance. They started this epic challenge at 05:30 and finished at 21:40, exhausted, but motivated by the money they had raised.

Brian Fisher of LocaliQ, Martin Mills of Humberts, Paul Robertson of Ansum Oak Carpentry and Chris Wood of Prenn Engineering started off the day to play 72 holes in their challenge, but then decided to break the record and go for 101 holes, which they did.

Brian and his team were well looked after during their rest breaks in the new state of the art clubhouse at Falmouth Golf Club.
