The sun was shining as the village of The Lizard came together for a day of fun.
With a carnival, dog show, stalls, games and car boot sale there was something for everyone on Sunday.
Although the heat may have put off some people and drawn them to the beaches, there was still strong support for the dog show and a good number of children got in their fancy dress outfits for the carnival.
The event was organised by The Lizard Community Group, which is trying to ensure The Lizard maintains its community spirit and also fundraise for various events throughout the year.
The next one will be firework night, before more senior people of the village are treated to a free Christmas lunch and the youngsters of The Lizard get treats at the Christmas light switch on.
There were plenty of smiling faces throughout the day on Sunday, which also included a surf simulator, football and inflatable wrestling.
One of the organisers for the event said: "This is why The Lizard Community Group do what we do. We love seeing those smiley faces, we know the children will take away lovely memories well into their adult lives, we understand how precious it is spending time with your children making those amazing costumes, and we love hearing the carefree laugher.
"We are over the moon when neighbouring villagers join in, just like the good old days.
"Thank you again to all everyone who attended the fun day, we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did."
