A five-year restraining order has been issued against a Falmouth businessman who must also pay more than £900 in compensation.
Gareth Davyd Wills, of Mylor Downs, was back in court on Thursday morning after a warrant for his arrest was issued on Tuesday when he failed to appear before magistrates.
The 42-year-old had been expected before the magistrates' court for sentencing and to answer further charges, having previously pleaded guilty to driving a black Range Rover on an unnamed road in Mylor Yacht Harbour on June 8.
Wills, a former partner in a local lettings agency, did not show up to the court hearing though, and a warrant backed without bail – meaning he could be arrested by the police and held in custody until he appeared before magistrates – was issued.
However, he subsequently attended court voluntarily, and the warrant for his arrest was withdrawn.

At the hearing on Thursday Wills was sentenced for the offence of driving whilst disqualified, for which he was fined £375 and ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs, along with a £49 surcharge to fund victim services. He was also disqualified for a further 12 months.
At the same hearing, Wills also pleaded guilty to destroying a Renault Clio car in the Falmouth area, causing £931.85 worth of damage.
For this he must pay the owner compensation worth £931.85, along with a £110 fine and £85 prosecution costs.
In addition, a restraining order was taken out preventing him from contacting a named woman, aside through solicitors for one specific purpose. He must not go to an address in Passage Hill, Mylor, with the order also preventing him from naming two children on social media.
