A man who got caught breaking the speed limit by five cameras in the space of two months has now been summoned to court.

Mark Foster, of Pendeen Parc in Helston, was found to have broken the 30mph speed limit at both Trewennack and Longdowns between December last year and February this year.

The 57-year-old's first offence was on December 16 last year, when he drove a Fiesta through the average speed cameras at Trewennack above the 30mph limit.

There were then identical offences at Trewennack on January 10, four days later on January 14 and again on February 3.

Then, a week after that, on February 10, he drove the same Fiesta on the A394 at Longdowns, while also breaking the speed limit past the automatic camera.

At a court hearing on Thursday last week, August 25, all offences were proved under the Single Justice Procedure.

This means adults charged with certain, non-imprisonable offences can be dealt with by the magistrates' court on the basis of the papers alone, without either party having to attend court for a hearing.

However, after seeing the list of convictions, magistrates in Bodmin decided they did in fact need to see Foster before sentencing him.

He has now been summonsed to attend a full court hearing on October 12, regarding possible disqualification.
