A number of events in Cornwall are being cancelled or postponed in the coming days, as a mark of request following the death of the Queen on Thursday.
- The committee of Helston Harvest Fair announced last night (Thursday) that this Saturday's carnival would be cancelled.

"Rest in peace HM Queen Elizabeth."
- Porthleven Town Band has taken the decision to postpone its Proms concert scheduled for this Saturday. However, it said it would still hold the event, at a later date yet to be announced.
The band said: "As a mark of respect our Porthleven Town Band proms concert this Saturday will, of course, no longer be going ahead.
"We would like to thank Porthleven Football Club, Christophers Estate Agents, Tony T Shirt, and Truromance for their support.
"Hold on to your tickets for the time being though. When the PTB family – board of trustees, PTB chairman, committee and players – have gathered their thoughts, considered the way forward, and after the period of mourning – we will make a further announcement.
"New loss can remind us of old grief. So we wish you all peace.
"Her Majesty and the Royal family will be in our thoughts and we hold them – and you – close."
- David Saunby, organiser of the Martin Jennings Memorial Motorcycle Run, announced this morning (Friday) that Sunday's event would be moved to a later date – possibly the following Sunday, September 18, although further confirmation will be given.
He said: "Following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, it is with deep regret that this Sunday's Jennings Run has been postponed as a mark of respect, and will hopefully take place on the following Sunday, September 18, if correct to do so with the Queen laying in state, and weather permitting.
"Please be rest assured the run will happen, even though it's later than planned through these unfortunate circumstances.
"I feel confident that the public will respect us for the actions taken to postpone this Sunday's run."
- Camborne Library has said: "In light of the very sad news of our Queen’s death, we will not be holding any activities or clubs over the mourning period."

The Jubilee Pool event on the Saturday is due to go ahead but NHS staff are choosing to attend the event organised by the pool on a personal basis.
