Books of Condolence are available in locations across Cornwall for those wishing to pay their respects to Her Majesty the Queen.

It was announced by the Royal Family that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passed away on Thursday, September 8 at the age of 96.

The book offers people the chance to pay their respects to The Queen in the form of a written message

Falmouth

The books in Falmouth are situated in the Town Council building on the Moor in the reception area as well as Falmouth Library in the Municipal Buildings. The books will be open for the next month.

A statement on the Town Council website said: "Falmouth Town Council is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and offers its heartfelt condolences to the Royal Family.

"We have opened two Books of Condolences, one in the Town Council offices on The Moor and one in Falmouth Library in the Municipal Buildings, also on The Moor.

"All members of the public are invited to sign and leave a message. The books will be available to sign for the next month during opening hours."

There is also an area outside the council building set aside for those who want to lay flowers as a tribute in memory of Her Majesty The Queen.

Truro

In the capital of Cornwall, Truro, a Book of Condolence is open to sign at the Cathedral as well as an opportunity to light a candle in memory from 8:00am until 8:00pm.

At 5:30pm there will be a special Evensong which will also be live streamed on their Facebook page.

Camborne

In Camborne the Book of Condolence for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is available at Camborne Library for members of the public.

The Library is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 9-5pm and Saturday’s 9:30-12:30.

Redruth

Book of Condolence has been opened in the Library for those wanting to leave thoughts and memories about Her Majesty The Queen. It will be open Monday-Friday 9.30am to 5pm and 10am to 1pm on Saturdays through the period of National Mourning.

Another Book is open in St Andrew's Church and that will be open 8am to 7pm every day.

Helston

In Helston a spokesperson for the Town Council informed the Packet that the Book of Condolence will be available on Monday at the Corn Exchange in the Guildhall during the building opening hours of 9am-4pm.

Porthleven

Books of condolences will be available next week at both St Bartholomew's Church and the Methodist Church, more details to follow.
