Cornwall came to a near standstill this morning as people across the Duchy paid their final respects to Queen Elizabeth II.
With the day of the funeral made a bank holiday, shops, schools and businesses across Cornwall closed to allow staff to watch the service on television and as a mark of respect to Her Majesty.
Just a few remained open to show the funeral on large televisions, for those who did not want to watch alone.
A large screen was also placed outside Truro Cathedral for people to watch the funeral together.
However, many people chose to stay at home, with these photographs showing what would normally be busy roads on a Monday morning free from traffic and silent.
Not everyone was watching though. Some decided to use the sunny bank holiday to make use of the quieter beaches instead.
