TWO men have been charged in connection with an incident in Truro which saw a vehicle collide with two buses after a police chase.
The incident took place on Tuesday, September 20 in the area of Trafalgar Roundabout and saw the roads around the incident closed while emergency services worked the scene.
According to Devon and Cornwall Police, the vehicle collided with two buses after failing to stop for police and one 22-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified.
A second man, a 20-year-old, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, possession of criminal property and possession of a bladed weapon in a public place.
Both men are due to appear in court today (Thurs Sep 22).
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Two men have been charged in connection to an incident in Truro on Tuesday 20 September.
"It was reported that a vehicle collided with two buses in the area of Trafalgar Roundabout, after failing to stop for police.
"22-year-old Jake Pearce of No Fixed Abode, Helston has been charged with dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified.
"20-year-old William Twist of Kergilliack Close, Falmouth, has been charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, possession of criminal property and possession of a bladed weapon in a public place.
"Both men are due to appear at Truro Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday 22 September."
