A GARAGE rock band from Cornwall has will be heading to Falmouth this year.
London-via-Cornwall four-piece, The Velvet Hands, have announced a string of UK live dates for this November.
Fresh off the back of a summer run of festivals and headline shows across the country, The Velvet Hands are set to hit the road again this winter with stops in Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol, Falmouth and Plymouth.
As well as a set at this years' Boardmasters, the band put in a performance at the Pilton Party Auditions Final, where Michael Eavis hand-picked them to support at the infamous Pilton Party.
They also played sold-out headline shows in London and Falmouth earlier this year, and the foursome have been gaining traction with their riotous recent releases including "I Wanna Be There" and "Holiday In My Head."
With their second album set to land next year, The Velvet Hands have also confirmed the release of their new single "Telephone Love," out October 28.
Recorded at The Cube Studios in Perranporth, the track was mixed by Jamx Jules and John Logan at The Cave Studio in Par with mastering by John Cornfield.
The Velvet Hands are Toby Mitchell, Dan Able, Louis Mitchell and Sam Hilder.
Blending slacker story-telling with belting guitar riffs reminiscent of The Strokes or Parquet Courts with rousing punk choruses that recall The Clash, the band formed amidst Cornwall’s garage-rock scene before relocating to London and making a name for themselves on the capital’s underground guitar circuit.
The Velvet Hand live dates are as follows:
02 November - The Jacaranda, Liverpool*- Sold Out!
03 November - Castle, Manchester^
09 November - The Crown, Bristol^
10 November - The Cornish Bank, Falmouth^
11 November - Underground, Plymouth
